The Central Coast Shakespeare Festival announces our 2010 Season:
Twelfth NIght by William Shakespeare & The Gamester by Freyda Thomas. Grab blankets, family and friends - pack a picnic basket to enjoy while watching live theatre under starry Central Coast skies.

The Gamester

by Freyda Thomas

A sparkling comical romp loosely based on a 1696 work by Jean-Francois Regnard. The story follows the adventures of young man torn between his beautiful fiancée and his mistress - The Gambling and Gaming Halls of turn of the century Paris. The Chicago Tribune calls The Gamester, "an intriguing hybrid of old and new...with bristling, insightful, richly comic and deliciously rhymed lines... mixing the verbal musicality of an earlier theatrical style with the sensibility of modern life... The Gamester charms on every level."

Shows start at 7:30 pm on Fridays and Saturdays, and 6:00 pm on Sundays.
Friday, July 9 (opening), Saturday, July 10, Sunday, July 18 (6:00 pm), Friday, July 23, Saturday, July 24, Sunday, August 1 (6:00 pm), Friday, August 6 (closing). [click here to buy tickets online]

Twelfth Night

by William Shakespeare

One of Shakespeare's most produced comedies and for good reason. Unrestrained passions and ribald revelry reign! Twelfth Night, or What You Will is a topsy-turvy triple love story featuring separated twins, mistaken identities, gender crossing disguises, besotted relatives, and wise cracking fools. Once our shipwrecked heroine Viola washes ashore, the world seems to go mad in delightful ways.

Shows start at 7:30 pm on Fridays and Saturdays, and 6:00 pm on Sundays.
Friday, July 16(opening), Saturday, July 17, Sunday, July 25 (6:00 pm), Friday, July 30, Saturday, July 31, Sunday, August 8 (6:00 pm), Friday, August 13, Saturday, August 14 (closing). [click here to buy tickets online]
